RUMI for Kids

and the Young at Heart: Poems to Learn and Grow From

About the book

RUMI for Kids invites you and the young ones in your life on a mystical, magical journey into the wisdom of Rumi, far away from the digital clamor.

Crafted for adults and children six and over to read together, the book turns Rumi’s timeless insights on love, life, and the soul into engaging explorations that spark conversations about life’s important questions. Each poem is a gateway, and a guide at the back of the book offers an interpretation and thought-provoking questions for every one — a launching point into discovery rather than a set of answers.

Vivid illustrations throughout weave the themes of Rumi’s poetry into a visual narrative, making ancient wisdom accessible and captivating for young readers.

The translations are by Coleman Barks, whose renderings of Rumi and other Persian mystic poets did more than any other to bring this poetry into the English-speaking world.

Dive into a shared adventure that fosters empathy, creativity, and reflection, and makes a tranquil space for growth. It is more than a book: it is an enriching experience, guiding children to find beauty and their own voices amid the noise.
