After Sean's passing, Deborah found solace and expression through painting. What began as an instinctive act of survival evolved into a healing process that allowed her to channel her love and sorrow onto the canvas. With each brushstroke, Deborah explored and documented the stages of her emotions, creating a visual narrative of her journey through grief.

This book offers readers an intimate look at Deborah's experience, inviting them to witness the alchemical transformation of pain into beauty. Her story is a testament to the enduring power of love and the resilience of the human spirit. Through her art and words, Deborah hopes to inspire others who are grieving to find their own paths to healing and to discover the beauty that can emerge from the depths of sorrow.

​Deborah Kadagian is an artist and licensed integration psychotherapist based in Sarasota, Florida. She began her diverse career as an Ayurvedic counselor before transitioning into psychotherapy, and her dedication to holistic healing led her to produce the award-winning film Healing the Mind: The Synthesis of Western Psychiatry and Ayurveda. Deborah is a passionate advocate for integrating psychedelic medicines and Ayurveda, and her contributions earned her the Dharma Award for Excellence from AAPNA.

​

Her thirst for knowledge has taken her to India, Peru, South Africa, Mexico, and Costa Rica, enriching her therapeutic and creative endeavors. At home, Deborah shares her life with her husband of 34 years and cherishes time with her daughter, son-in-law, and travels that broaden her perspective on healing and wellness.
